Internet Resources for Planners

A brief list of selected World Wide Web (WWW) sites are on the back of this issue of The New Planner. The list was derived from materials developed for an Internet workshop for planning and landscape architecture students at the University of California, Berkeley. The list is by no means comprehensive and reflects a local interest in California. Undoubtedly there are other WWW sites of interest; please contact me via e-mail (dsommer@library.berkeley.edu) to recommend additional WWW sites. Each listing includes the name or description of the WWW site, followed by its URL.

Deborah Sommer is the manager for the University of California, Berkeley, city & regional planning gopher. She can be contacted at Environmental Design Library, 210 Wurtster Hall, University of California, Berkeley by Email.

Editor’s Note: In the Fall Issue of The New Planner we published our first column on internet resources for planners. We received many responses including one from the author. The article and list of discussion groups were taken from the University of California, Berkeley’s city and regional planning gopher. We apologize to Ms. Deborah Sommer for using her work without proper attribution. The New Planner staff and I certainly want to recognize Deborah’s diligence and hard work in compiling the information for others to use. The entire article and additional internet resources can be found at this URL.
