Gaze
i wake from a dream
to find myself by your side
gazing into those wondrous eyes of yours
ravishing splendor, true blue
or is it cerulean
they say you are quite pretty
but what i see is much more
than such description can do you justice
i extend my hand to caress the soft skin
on your cheek
as you blush lovingly
but then the birds chirping
i open my eyes to see you gone
fallen back to the dream of reality
oh how i wish to awaken to you again
