Surrender

it's so calm right now
so calm without you
but this isn't what i want

words won't even come to me right now
i miss you so much
and there is nothing i can do
two minds and one heart
affections touching accross time
if only this could be true

i've died a million times before
but i never saw death take me away like this
i won't come back this time
i'll disappear in the shadows
and dream away in endless sleep
after all, life is just
it's all just a dream

a dream from which you never wake up
so sad
what's a dream within a dream
but an illusion of the reality we never see
that which would be true if we woke up
from the dream of life
we see in the dream's dream
eternal slumber
eternal sunshine
i find myself floating in air
as if taken away from you into the skies
i can only watch from above
and it never rains on you
maybe that's why i cannot cry
but if i avert my eyes
maybe
the sweetest tears will come
but then i'll have lost sight of you

middle of the night
sleepless again, wasting time, making time
keeping my sanity by keeping my mind occupied
and trying not to think too much about you
the memories blocked
and emotions repressed
i sigh but i remain busy enough
to keep you at bay
so i don't go crazy
over losing you, but now
yes, i should change my flow

the living dead and
manipulated living
scales of convergence
the strings of life, taut, sorrowful
bittersweet
the sound of silence and
the silence of sound
stillness, quietness
exhuberance of flowering wishes and dreams
hope
purity, clarity
amity
comfort, warmth
soul seekers, soul gatherers
one cannot live as a lonely soul
each being requires a collection of them
being surrounded by the presence of others
to know that we exist for a reason

do i exist
do you exist
why do i exist
for whom do i exist
it all seems like nothing now

the voices of spring
new beginning, new life
the renewal of friendships
the renewal of trust and caring
silent echoes
songs of tears
call to me
call to you
joyous, happy all again
smiles, rejoice, hugs
come back to me
come back to me
come so we can dream together
and in the end
it's all just a dream
