[untitled]

beautiful lights reflection in the still water
up from the lighthouse, a view like no other
the quiet city along the shoreline
the queen mary docked at harbor
no stars in the sky, but melody of colors abound
clean air and soft music and the fresh smell of pine
blue and white and turquoise and violet
harbor patrol cruising by yet
again; there is not a soul around
i am alone here to admire this spectacle

peace does not come easy at home
but here, barely a sound
it's a bit cold but my heart feels warm
from escaping the chaos and constant battle
that darken my eyes and whitens my hair
i can rest, i can relax
i can close my eyes and dream
without being disturbed
i can breathe, i could cry
for no reason at all, but that this place
is safe; good night lullaby

such beauty through my eyes,
which reflect but anguish and despair
all my anger, all my sorrow
for the little eternity that is here
vanished, gone, healed
a cry for help answered
a hug, a kiss, an i love you
this beauty embraces me
can you see it? look into my eyes
and search it in my heart
can you see it? i'm looking at you
never have i ever seen anything so beautiful

how lovely; i don't want to go away
i could die happy having touched you so
with my heart, through my eyes
so close, yet so out of reach
can i dream forever? don't leave
i won't stay if you want me to go
but stay here so i can still see you and smile
and just like the blue lights this smile will
surface on the water, right back to me
i and will know that in your heart i exist
and this will be true for as long as i see myself
in you
