Notes

- The Great Park in scene 17 is not in reference to and has absolutely nothing to do with the Orange County Great Park.

- Curiously enough, I do not have my camera with me while Khanh and I are going through the park and its gardens.

- Gu appears in scene 19 as himself with an unknown Japanese friend. We never get to know his name, as Gu does not
introduce him to me and Khanh. He also does not say a word during all the time that he is present in the dream.

- Paul appears in scene 20 as my robot buddy who somewhat ressembles Bender from Futurama.

- We never actually get to know of what the matches that are going on at the challenge ring consist (i.e. whether it is
fighting, some sort of gaming contest, etc.). In scene 21, robot buddy (Paul) meets his robot adversary, and they and
the organizers get ready for the match to begin. Gu, his friend, Khanh, and I wish robot buddy good luck and start to
walk away for no apparent reason instead of staying to watch and support him.

- Just a few feet away from the challenge ring, Gu spots a chess table, and he and his friend quietly sit down for a game.
Khanh and I oblige and stand by to watch them play. Supposedly, robot buddy's match is still going on behind us in the
background. As was implied above, however, it is completely omitted from the dream, and so we do not see any of it.

- In scene 23, while Gu and his friend are focused solely on their chess match, Khanh and I spot a very primitive model
of a Tachikoma that looks flatter and more rectangular and whose AI is much less advanced than that of its current
counterpart. It is also black in color, walks ackwardly, and serves as a mobile information guide for the visitors on the
promenade. Of course, in the Stand Alone Complex world there is no such older Tachikoma model.

- In scene 27, as tornadoes and waterspouts (over the canal) are beginning to form and panic is instilling among the
park visitors, Gu and his friend are still calmly playing out their chess match. I yell to them, "Hey!" while pointing to the
vortices about to hit down, but Gu, still calm, answers, "Go on ahead! We'll catch up." Khanh and I look at each other,
perplexed. Nevertheless, I quickly grab my jacket and say to her, "Khanh, we have to go! Come on!" We run out of the
promenade, leaving the other two behind (and we still don't know what is going on with robot buddy), and, as with the
rest of the frenzied crowd, head through the gardens to get to the park entrance.

- In the middle of scene 33, in one instant Khanh is suddenly and inexplicably a European blonde with blue eyes. She
does not transform (or change, morph, mutate, etc.) or become a different character. She is still Khanh, only, with a
completely different physical appearance. The me in the dream makes nothing of it and still recognizes her as Khanh.
She maintains this outer apperance for the remainder of the dream.
