Notes
- Scenes from the Winter Wedding segment of the dream (scenes 15-29) are in grey and light blue.
- The first portion of Winter Wedding (15-25) takes place entirely at night, and, accordingly, its mood is very dark and
rather tense. The second portion (26-29) occurs on the following morning and has a merrier mood.
- The events of the entire dream take place in real time within the dream, meaning that the Winter Wedding segment
is not a flashback or separate account. Rather, it is as if the me in the dream is unexpectedly and unwittingly
transported to a parallel world. When he is transported back, the same amount of time has elapsed in the original
world. All the events that unfold in the other world seem to be connected to those in the original world somehow,
but the significance between them is not known with certainty.
- In scene 14, I do not abandon Shy, who had been wounded and had fallen unconscious during the attack. I leave her
at the shrine for her to heal and recover under its mystical aura.
