SYNOPSIS OF THE WORK BY ECOLOGY DEPARTMENT OF

THE GRODNO STATE UNIVERSITY OF YA. KUPALA

Studying of the transcortin blood plasma characteristics according to different conditions of the cortex of adrenal gland and development of blood circulation incompetence in clinical and experimental conditions. Appraisal of functional condition of the cortex of adrenal gland of anomalies and man with simultaneously characterisation of transcortin of blood plasma (constant of association with steroids, amount of connected places, percent of hormone) has been made under experiment, and also under different pathological and functional conditions (blood circulation incompetence, pregnancy, radiation).

Hormone-protein interactions of pregnant rats with blood circulation incompetence during isotopes 131I and 137Cs introduction have been studied and also biochemical characteristics of “radiation stress” during internal exposure have been got. For the best time the lowering of transcortin biosynthesis by sections of liver in vitro under experimental blood circulation incompetence of the rats has been revealed and the role of the infringement of hormone-transcortin interactions in forming stress has even showed.

Also for the first time has been established on the clinical material, that the patients with hypertension disease and ischemic disease complicated with blood circulation incompetence have infringement of the connection of glucocorticoids with transcortin (protein attitude to steroids, concentration of the connected places on protein and its content in blood plasma). Biochemical characteristic of traditional stress has been supplied, influence of 137Cs and 131I on breathing and oxidation phosphorilating of mitohondries has been studied, POL processes in tissue, SDG, MDG ferments activity, creatin-cinazae in the tissue of rats during the internal exposure have been researched.

Dr. Galitsky E.A. is scientific supervisor of scientific research work studying gamma-radiation of the human tissue and morbidity in district of Grodno region. It is going to research the content of radionuclides (137Cs and 134Cs) in the tissues of the residents of Ivye and Novogrudok districts, which are the most isotopes, polluted in the Grodno region. To get the initial information the facts of our research will be used. This research was taken place in 1992-1997 concerning studying the dynamics of radionuclide accumulation in human body in Grodno region. Two gamma-spectrometroes and necessary chemical reagents will be used during radiation researches.

Medical examinations of the mentioned groups of society in 1996 showed the high level of morbidity among the residents of the district, living on the polluted areas. Children morbidity in 1996 came to 827.6 days per 1000 children, living on radionuclides polluted areas, against 697.1 per 1000 in general of the district. Children tenderness in 1996 came to 1153.6 per 1000. The structure of the reasons of children morbidity and tenderness is practically the same. The tendency of increasing oncological diseases in the districts retains during several years and its level is higher in comparison to the region level.

This ten years observation after Chernobyl accident allows speaking about deterioration of the health rate of the residents of the district. The studying of radioactivity of the human tissues will give an opportunity to use these facts in diagnostics and prognosis of weak radioactive destructions and also to analyse initially hiding radioactive infections.
