There is two basic types of
airplanes to get into the hobby with. You can either build one from a kit
or get what is called an ARF (almost ready to fly). The Arf's have became
very popular in the past few years and some are very good quality planes
for the money with most of them being just over a $100.
If you are good with your hands
there is nothing more rewarding than building from a kit. With a kit you
get a box of wood that you glue into an airplane.
