Assessment
Assessment for the Gifted and Talented Progam takes place at the beginning of each semester. The district follows the Texas State Plan for the Education of Gifted and Talented Students guidelines in the assessment process. Students are assessed through a formal process to determine which students require G/T curriculum modifications. The assessment process is open to all students through a referral system. Students may be referred by parents, staff members or themselves. Once a student is referred, a Consent for Assessment form and Parent Observation form are sent to the parents.
