On this page you'll find pictures of my assembled models, as well as informations about them, kits that are waiting here to be assembled, reference books, kits I'm looking for and tips & tricks.
I started kit modelling in 1995 with a kit of the sail ship "Alexander von Humboldt", maybe known from the BECK's advertisings. Next I bought a kit of the 4-mast ship "Pamir". After that I was fed up with sails and rigging, I noticed the giant range of kits of German ww2 afv's. My first kit was a Jagdpanther (early production) from REVELL. Besides I was impressed of the German engineers, who were inventive and full of ideas, and I wanted to learn about construction of such vehicles by building models, because building such a model gives a good look about method of construction, function and details, even if the purpose of such vehicles is very doubtful!
In comparison to the fleet of todays armys, the germans in ww2 had great variety of armored vehicles, of which most are available as model kit. I only build in scale 1/35 and there is now a huge number of kit manufacturers, who bring out different kits in different materials and of different quality. My kits are mostly injection molded and a few of resin ... resin-kits often show vehicles that belong to the odd constructions of the german army, but are interesting for me as well. Kits made of resin often need more work on the single parts and are as a rule more expensive (100,-DM and more per kit), than injection molded kits.
Now lets come to my "fleet" of tank model kits ... in the following you see pictures of my assembled and photographed kits so far, a 'klick' on a picture brings you to a following page where the picture can be seen larger plus some information on the kit.
At the bottom of the page there are links to a list of kits which are waiting here to be assembled (to give you an idea what is upcoming), a list of kits I really like to have, list of interesting books (books I have and books I would like to have).
If you are interested in this hobby, too, or you got questions, suggestions, comments, or you can offer me kits, books, references or got hints where to get ... then PLEASE, write me an e-mail !!
This site with the photos of my assembled kits grew too far, so I devided up the pictures into different sections. Now the time to view a page should be decreased and will be more user-friendly. So now have fun and look through the galleries!
Note, that most of the extraphotos of each tank may be enlarged by klicking on the image.
