In Quidditch there Are 7 Players & 4 Balls
The Players
3 Chasers = The Chasers Play with the Quaffle They Have to try & get the Quaffle through one of the 3 hoops at the oppositions end These hoops are guarded by the keeper.
1Keeper = The keeper has to guard the 6 hoops through which if the Quaffle goes through the oter team score( sort of like Basketball with 6 hoops on Brooms)
2 Beaters = The Beaters Job is to stop the Bludgers knocking off the players on their own team but also tohit the Bludgers at the other teams members. they do this with a wooden bat.
1 Seeker = The seeker is the most important player in the game. The job of the Seeker is to catch the Golden Snitch The Snitch is very fastand the game only ends when the snitch is Caught.
The Balls
The Quaffle = The Quaffle is A larg red ball that is past between the chasers. The Ball Scores 10 Points Every time it goes through one of the Holes
The 2 Bludgers = These 2 balls are slightley smaller than the Quaffle and they zoom around trying to knock the players off thiet Broomsticks.
The Golden Snitch = The Golden Snitch is the Most important ball of the game it is about the size of a large walnut . It has wings & because of this it is very fast it is worth an extra 150 points so the team that gets it nearly always wins
To Score Points
1. Evey yime the Quaffle is put through a hoop it is worth 10 points
2. When the Snitch is caught that team gets 150 points
Facts About Quidditch
1. The longest game ever recorded lasted 3 Months they had to keep bringing on substitutes so that the players could get some sleep!
2. The Bludgers have never killed anyone at Hogwarts the worst has been a few broken jaws. They have Killed People but killings are very very rare.
3. There are over 700 ways of commiting a Quidditch foul and all of them happend in the world cup Match in1473
4. the Seekers are usually the fastest and most seriousley ingured members on the Team
5. Ref's Of Quidditch matches have been known to vanish and then turn up months later in the sahara dessert
