Rosette Nebula (NGC 2237)

The Rosette Nebula in Monoceros with a diameter of about 55 light-years. Out of its gases, the star cluster NGC 2244 is formed. The winds of the young stars swept away the gases, creating the central cavity, 12 light-years in diameter. It is expanding at 20 km/sec and in a few million years, the gas will disappear.
