This is a rough sketch of an anthropomorphic jaguar done by an amatuer friend of mine. The word anthropomorphic means given human like qualities, defined here so the pic makes more sense to those not familiar with the word. When you start out and for some time after, likely your sketches will look like this.

 

This is a commission sketch from Susan Van Camp, a professional artist friend of mine that has done art for Magic the Gathering and her own card game. Eventually, after much practice, one hopes to reach this level of drawing skill.

This is a jokey sketch done by Erika Rosengarten, and the story connected to it is sort of an in joke. In any case, here you can see some of the rough pencil lines and such. As you can tell, it's not a finished sketch, but she's a better artist than I am, so I put a sample of her work here.
This is another piece by Erika Rosengarten. It is a basic layout for a film cell to be done later. As you can see many of the lines still need to be inked and darkened, and this is another example of a work in progress by a more advanced artist than I am at this point.
