Car Drawing

1. Select a type of car to draw. I selected an SUV type jeep for the tutorial.

Draw the rough layout to get the basic parts of the car, ie. wheels, windows,

the appropriate number of doors for the car.

2. Clean up the lines and get rid of unnecessary lines or unwanted pencil

marks.

3. Add details, such as mirrors, a spare tire, hubcap patterns.

4. Ink if desired, or refine shading.

Vehicle drawing is probably one of the harder things to learn. It is both a benefit

and a problem that there are so many models of cars available. You must select a

model, brand, year, etc... It's almost as if you're buying a car yourself! But way cheaper. :)

Photo reference will prove invaluable here. It would be ideal if you can find the

car you want to draw and take pictures of it from numerous angles to use as

reference.
