Mathematics is very important to any science; it gives the science a specific meaning.
The Scientific Method is a six step method that is effective in solving
problems. Galileo and Sir Francis Bacon are credited with founding
the Scientific method.
Scientific Method
1.
Define the problem (be specific)
2.
Observe and Measure
3.
Experiment
4.
Develop a hypothesis
5.
Test the hypothesis
6.
Conclusion or theory
A scientist must be flexible. Hypotheses must be testable. They must also be changeable or abandoned if contradicted with evidnece. Theories encompass many hypotheses and facts. They can be modified with new evidence.
Science and technology are different. Technology is the study of applied science.
Science and religion are also different. Science deals with natural
