A few things that I have tossed out there.

Your Danger

I love thunderstorms. I love danger, or at least the threat of danger. I love the electric clarity of imminent and unavoidable and irreversible change. The sexy charge of will and desperate need that accompanies this statement of power. The staccato shotgun announcement of arrival precipitates that brief gastric terror. The possible chance of a direct hit, however remote. Like being smote by a not dispassionate god. I love your danger, or at least the threat of your danger.

Cherokee Morning

the sun rises
orange fire ignites cold stone and skins,
wood and hemp
the village stirs
a dogs yips, skitters
warriors disentangle from warm women, blankets
blowing on grey, dusted embers
crackling sticks
readying weapons for days hunt, watering horses

cool morning breeze strokes surrounding meadows
naked, grassy
deer blowing steam
lift heads as one to the smoke
on a horizon not (yet) rippling
writhing with day's heat

the great spirit smiles

That Evening

That evening there were clouds
great, billowing, cumulai
darkly blanketing
the warm night sky.

That evening there was a moon
whole, shining; brightly lit
between those shadowed puffs
scarred and lonely, this moon flit

That evening met against the stars
yellow moon, towering clouds
moon silvered contoured beauty
clouds soft comfort kissed

Now and then, on moonless nights
looking high and low, above and under
the clouds will search the empty sky
for love the morning tore asunder

Bunnies, bunnies

Nikolas(my best guy) and I made this up as we walked through Mill Run Park one night in Manlius(my town, NY after seeing a bunch of bunnies and trying to touch a baby bunny that wouldn't quite run away.

Bunnies, bunnies everywhere,
bunnies, bunnies not so rare

bunnies, bunnies, it's not fair!
bunnies, bunnies in my chair,

bunnies, bunnies, it's so fun
bunnies, bunnies in the sun.

bunnies, bunnies quite a scare,
bunnies, bunnies and a Bear.

bunnies, bunnies, there's a pair,
bunnies, bunnies in my hair

bunnies, bunnies, there's one now
bunnies, bunnies near the cow

bunnies, bunnies in the park
bunnies, bunnies getting dark.

bunnies, bunnies in a heap
bunnies, bunnies home to sleep.
