Be among the first to meet perhaps the strangest sentient lifeform yet encountered. After forty long years, I&O (Isolation and Observation)is over for the Praal and Xenology Groups is offering twenty(20) Individual bids to join the First Contact Expedition. As with all First Contact Bids, Members' future travel will be severely restricted.

The Praal
The only known lifeform that rolls as its primary means of locomotion (64kph speeds have been observed), it is presumed that this is accomplished via the shifting of the Praal's centre of gravity. It's scale-like surface appendages serve as

incredibly versatile, multiple role tools. They flip, exposing mirrored under-surfaces that, when angled correctly, can render the Praal virtually invisible, or failing that, the Praal can deftly focus sunlight into a deadly, blinding, weapon. The scales are supremely sharp-edged and finely articulated; perfect for fashioning fine tools. These scales also provide traction among their many other functions.

If the Earth's orbital circumference just fit around an average green pea,
then the nearest star would be about four miles distant.
