Selection of specimens out of hundreds (choosen for their particular pattern, shape or colour): A) 74.3mm, F+++, just a slightly irregular dorsum, very dark and elongated, nice regular pattern, brownish base with a large and dark brown blotch in the middle, very similar to specimens from New Caledonia; B) 65.4mm, Gem, very dark and elongated-oval, brown base with a darker brown blotch in the middle, very similar to specimens from New Caledonia; E) 73,5mm, Gem-, hairlike crash in nacre on the base but hardly visible, globose with a nicely patterned dorsum, pinkish base with a green glaze on the left , no basal blotch; G) 70.6mm, Gem-, rounded and globose with the darkest dorsum, brown base with a small blotch and black spots around the margins; H) 70.9mm, Extra, globose, deep pink base and a pinkish glaze all over the dorsum, quite close to the panerythra form. |
