Some new findings such as mass rivers, gravity lenses, and an
impending supernova in the Magellanic Cloud are at the root
of this new interest.

ESCAPE FROM THE SUN
Is 600,000 miles a safe distance, 600,000 million sounds
better. If time allows, I will set up a page with the forces
involved. Remember, all stones revolve around the Sun in the
same plane.
Force on the stone per mass of the stone from the earth is
the mass of the earth divided by the squared distance
between the earth and the stone.

I have material on any object at 600,000 miles from earth.
To escape our gravity influence, it should go 800,000 mps.
I will check on that number, about 100 times slower than the
speed of light.

Note that as mass increases the radius of light capture
increases. A dense star should capture light at smaller and
smaller radii.
