The 222 mm f:5.8 reflector and the Cookbook 245

Amateur Astronomers' Portuguese Association

I was born near Lisbon, the Capital of Portugal, on the 5th March 1949. I am working in the first financial group of my country, and I am an APAA member, (Amateur Astronomers' Portuguese Association), since 1977.

I am a AUDE (Association des Utilisateurs des Detecteurs Electroniques) member, because after having been an ATM, I became a CCD Camera maker too. I have worked in meteors and occultations, specially in grazing occultations.

During the last few years I have built a CB245. Nowadays I am trying to begin a continued work in asteroids astrometry, and supernavae hunting. My ultimate project is the construction of a camera based on the KAF0400 CCD chip.

I have several telescopes, a small 100 mm f:5, a 150 mm f:8 (both made by myself), a 222 mm f:5.8 and a C8 on a german mounting (home maid).
