Zimbabwe is a landlocked country of 10 million people in Southern Africa. Formerly under British rule as Rhodesia, independence came in 1980. Zimbabwehas produced internationally renowned sportspersons like the ex-numero-unogolfer Nick Price, footballers Peter Ndhlovu and Bruce Grobelaar and the iron-muscled triathlete Paula Newby-Fraser. And if you want to see the Victoria Falls, Zimbabwe's your destination.
They say a picture tells a thousand words, so here's a map. Harare is where the University of Zimbabwe and Zimaths is based. It's a city of a million people and was founded in 1890.
