More Wooden Jigsaw Puzzles

LAst Updated 2-3-1997

Here are a few more puzzles cut over the past few years.

737 Cockpit
16 by 20 inches
552 pieces
46 figure pieces

This was made for a fellow who flies 737's for USAir. It is an actual Boeing photo of a cockpit. Initially, I thought I could get a poster from one of those places that sells photo's of airplanes, but the 737 isn't sexy enough to be stocked, so I went to the source. The puzzle features a number of common in flight hazards, such as birds, butterflys, and other planes. Buried in the pieces are runway patterns of USAir's major hubs, which at the time were Dayton and Pittsburg.

Two Sisters - School of 16th Century
26 by 18 inches
640 pieces
37 Figure pieces

The poster is a little risque, but it did come from Paris. No one knows who painted it, butthe picture hangs in the Lourve. The puzzle belongs to my wife.

The only good way to photograph a half assembled puzzle is to give it to someone, let them get part way through, and then take the picture. Stealing about 40 pieces before they start also helps give it that 'part finished' look.

Currier & Ives Print
12 by 18 inches
439 pieces
33 Figure pieces

This was made from a calender picture bought at a yard sale. It show the figures pieces clearly. The worst figure I ever had to make was a Badger, which is not in the photo. Badgers have no actual shape, and make lousy puzzle pieces. Dogs and Cats are much better. You can make easily identifiable breeds.
