Description of Planetarium Shows

Our Solar System A multi-media presentation of slides and video takes you through an overview of all the members in our area in space that orbit the Sun. Planets, moons, asteroids, and comets are discussed.
Finding Your Way in the Sky Slide show overview of the sky thoughout the year showing the neat things both natural and manmade in the night sky. Constellations are emphasized, with real sky as well as "cartoon" pictures to help "connect the dots" in the sky. This show is great for Scout groups.
Hubble Views the Universe A view of our Universe from the Hubble Telescope. We will show pictures from the Hubble Space Telescope within our Solar System, inside our galaxy, and outside to other galaxies.
Comets - The Cosmic Wanderers An in depth discussion of comets and their role in our solar system, and what they are made of. History of comets are discussed, and "killer" comets and "killer" asteroids are explained.
The Milky Way Galaxy Tour A photographic tour of our Milky Way Galaxy is conducted, showing nebulae, star clusters, and stars which our galaxy is made of. The shape of our galaxy is discussed, and our approximate position displayed.
Eclipses - The Sun and Moon Spectacular Solar and Lunar Eclipses are described as the lucky line-up of the Earth, Moon and Sun at the right time. History of eclipses are discussed as well as "sub-classes" of eclipses - Lunar and Solar.
The Christmas Star Some of the Christmas Traditions are explained, as well as the history of the Christmas Star. Our star machine is set back to 7 B.C. and candidates of what the star could have been are discussed.
