General post-mortem examination of bodies of six army men, handed over by Pakistan , revealed that the soldiers were barbarically tortured for many days before being killed. Our soldiers were subjected to a very barbaric treatment in which their ears ,nose, eyes, genitals were disfigured and chopped off and they were subjected to every kind of torture by the beastly Pakistanis for many days. They were then brutally killed one by one about a week ago including the 22 year old Lt Saurabh Kalia.
Pakistan has violated all values
and norms of civilised behaviour and international laws, and the
action is unpardonable. They have violated all norms of
decorum and civilisation. The six men, Lt Kalia and Sepoys
Arjun Ram, Banwar Lal, Bhikaram, Moola Ram and Naresh Singh,
were missing since May 14 when a patrol party went to locate the
infiltrators in Kargil.
We all know and the world knows that soldiers fight for their
country and not for themselves. Their uniform has to be respected.
There are laws and international conventions to be respected even
during a war.
We demand of Pakistan that the
perpetrators of this barbaric crime against uniformed soldiers be
identified and brought to book, Pakistan must also punish those
responsible for the killing of S Ldr A Ahuja. I
doubt the Militant nation would ever do that ,just cuz they are
not use to do right things.
Our government shares the entire nations outrage over the
savage treatment meted out to Indian army personnel. What we have
witnessed is not simply breach of international norms but
civilisational crime against humanity and barbaric medievialism.
I am outraged and like a real patriot, I feel I have been
personally violated and I think You must be feeling the same .
Liars as they are Pakistan on the other hand has strongly denied the soldiers were "mutilated" before being handed back, describing India's claim as "ridiculous". They said the bodies were recovered from a remote and inaccessible site and their handing over to India was a gesture of "military goodwill." My foot, it was just a cheap and characteristic Pakistani way trying to prove the World how humble and civilised they are .
Further
the beguilers add that Flight Lieutenant Ahuja's death remains a
mystery & that the pilot had made every effort to do
just that.Strangely when his body was returned with full military
honours it was full of bullet holes. The Pakistanis indignantly
denied that they had killed him - they say he was dead when he
was found. The Pakistani brigadier rather implausibly
suggested that his parachute hadn't opened and that he fell to
the earth like a stone. The fact that his parachute - plainly
open - was lying at the brigadier's feet suggested that the truth
was somewhat different.
The highest battlefield on Earth, the Siachen glacier is located beyond the stern end of the line of control that defines this disputed territory of Kashmir. The conditions are so extreme that the bitterly cold weather claims more lives than the frequent artillery exchanges. The air is so thin that the trajectory of the shells is unpredictable. Avalanches and altitude sickness pose a constant danger - soldiers say one moment you can be walking with a man, the next he has vanished down a crevice never to return. To reach the forward positions involves using special helicopters, normal ones simply can't operate at this kind of altitude. It is an example of how difficult it is to fight to war in this kind of environment .
Sit
back for a while and think about the men up there fighting in
those deadly glaciers, fighting not for themselves , fighting for
US . Just remember the food we are eating , the
norms we are experiencing and the life we are enjoying is
bestowed upon us by them . For us they might just be numbers,
statistics and news ,but for some one they are fathers, husbands,
brothers and sons .Imagine the misery of the parents who receives
the news of death of their son, before they get his first
paycheck & the newly wedded widows. We at home enjoy the
stupid & nonsensical cricket match & forget about the
real heros and vanquisher up there ! we are just staying back and
twittering "Comon' India Dikhado " But
these men of distinguished valors are doing just that ,FOR US.

We owe these men and their families more than a few news articles and our tribute. Not everyone can go and fight for the country. But the least we can do is to support the soldiers and their family. Don't just sympathize and talk proudly about these soldiers, do something for them. Then you ask me what can I do? How can I help? You can help these soldiers and their families by contributing a small part of your income to : Army Central Welfare Fund Deputy Director (CW-8) Adjutant General's Branch Army Headquarters West Block-III R.K.Puram New Delhi 110 066 India. This fund has been started by the army to look after the families of soldiers who die in the line of duty.
