Notes:The C-130 Hercules has been around for four decades and still remains in production, albeit in J model series of which the RAAF and RNZAF are tipped to buy.
Types:The production model initially ordered by Australia was the C-130A, with 4 Allison T56-A-11 turboprop engines which we used in Vietnam. Later replaced in the seventies with the C-130E.
Possibly soon to be replaced by the J model.
