Joining Air Cadets

General Requirements:

  1. Must be a Canadian Citizen or landed immigrant.
  2. Must be between the ages of 12 and 19 years old inclusive.

Their is no monetary requirement, that is it does not cost anything to join. The uniform is free, and must be returned at the end of a cadet's career. Joining Air Cadets in no way requires one to join any branch of the Canadian Armed Forces. It does however stimulate an intrest in the area of flying. The Air Cadet League of Canada is a seperate entity from the Canadian Armed Forces. The Department of National Defence does provide us with training, and supply.
