JOSH'S HOT WEATHER LINKS !

Last Updated August 17, 1998

Being an avid weather enthusiast, I hit a number of spots on the Internet that feature weather information and weather forecasts each day. Here is a small collection of some of my favorite spots on the Internet to access some of the finest weather information, maps, and data available.

So which one do I like best?  Well, if you want a page that features all kinds of weather links from A to Z with every kind of product imagineable, check out WeatherNet.

For the serious weather enthusiast, I suggest you browse the Weather Calculator and Algorithm Page put together by Mark Elbrecht.

What a great site!  Click on the graphic here for        an interactive way to browse weather information across Massachusetts which includes an automatically updated temperature map for the state!

For the most comprehensive local New England weather briefing, check out the MA/RI Atlantic Coast Observers Network Home Page

Northeast U.S. Infared Satellite Imagery- Direct from Lyndon State College's Meteorology Department comes the finest satellite shots of New England. See where the clouds are right now by clicking on this link. (Note: Sometimes this link does not function during the summer months)

Texas A & M University Weather- An interactive site which provides a plethora of visual effects for you to enjoy while browsing weather on the Internet.

Mount Washington Observatory Homepage- Learn more about the windiest inhabited place on Earth!

National Weather Service Forecast Office, Taunton,MA- Visit the home of S. New England's National Weather Service Office located not too far away in Taunton, which is pratically in Easton's backyard.

Todd Gross' Weather and Astronomy Page- Boston's Channel 7 Meteorologist Todd Gross is not only a weather enthusiast, but a major astronomy buff!  Check out his links here.

WeatherNet- I think the graphic says it all. No one can outdo the fantastic weather page that Michael MacDonald has put together. Over 24 million hits have been accumulated here. Come find out why!

Earth & Sky - A RealAudio site.- As a news, weather, and sports announcer at                   WWLR 91.5 FM, I  had to play a "spot" called Earth and Sky. This daily broadcast by                    two radio broadcasters called Block and Byrd really makes science interesting. Check                    it out with RealAudio by clicking on the above site!

I highly recommend the USA Today Weather Page for a quick glance at national weather information. If you want to investigate How the Weather Works, there is a wonderful array of graphics available here as well for you to help visualize the intricate functions of our weather!

Here are some more weather links I think you might enjoy visiting whether you are just looking for a quick weather forecast or are a serious weather enthusiast seeking out highly scientific sites!
