Dual immunolocalization using conventional epifluorescence microscopy on a phragmoplast of a taxol-treated carrot protoplast lysed prior to fixation is shown. Fluorescein fluorescence reporting affinity-purified anti-pp50 antibodies (a) is highly similar to Texas Red fluorescence reporting anti-carrot tubulin mAb1F8 (b), indicating that pp50's co-localization with microtubules is not exclusive to the interphase cortical array.
