The suspension was settled onto poly-L-lysine-coated slides and processed for immunofluorescence microscopy using (a) anti-soy tubulin (1:100), or (b) affinity purified anti-pp50 antibodies (1:1). Similar to b, unpurified anti-pp50 serum (1:100) was negative (not shown). Note that anti-pp50 serum or affinity purified anti-pp50 antibodies do not recognize microtubules of pure carrot tubulin in this immunolocalization protocol.
