Personal Information...

A short history about me...:

• I was born at Mexico City, in October 10, 1973.
• I had take participation at many scholar contest (Spanish, Technical Drawing, Biology...) with relevants performances (1st. place in 1987, 3th. place in 1988, 1st. place in 1992).
• I am a B.Sc. in Chemistry, graduated from the UNIVERSIDAD DE LAS AMERICAS-PUEBLA (1992-1997; 53th Graduation Ceremony). I receive the Honorific Mention and the Highest Academic Average Acknolowdgment.
• From 1994 to 1995, I was President of the Student Representative Board of Chemistry and Biology, in UDLAP. (SIGMA)
• From 1995 to 1997, I had the position of Academic Student Cases Coordinator of the Chemistry and Biology Department and as funding member of the Help-Student Funding of the Student Council of the Universidad de las Americas (CEUDLA).
• In 1995, with the support of the Chemistry and Biology Department and the Chemical Engineering Department, also of the Student Representative Boards, I founded and organized the First International Meeting in Sciencies and Engineerings of Chemical-Biological Fields (Primer Congreso Internacional de Ciencias e Ingenierías del Área Quimicobiológica - CICIAQB-), one of the most ambicious academic-meetings projects in the UDLAP. In the same way, I was colaborator in the Organizative Commitee of the II and III CICIAQBs.
• My research undergraduate project of thesis was titled "Direct electrosynthesis of coordination compounds between metals (Cu, Cd and Zn) and anti-inflammatory drugs (piroxicam and isoxicam) in non aqueous media" (ELECTROSINTESIS DIRECTA DE COMPUESTOS DE COORDINACION ENTRE METALES Y OXICAMS EN MEDIO NO ACUOSO).
• Now, I am doing my Ph.D. in Chemistry at the Chemistry Department of the Texas Christian University (TCU). I am looking for join to one of the inorganic chemistry research groups (Dr. Coffer or Dr. Neilsen). I am an Teaching Assistant (TA) in the Organic Experimental Lab.

ACADEMIC EXPERIENCE.

• In 1995, I was working at the Wastewater Analysis Laboratory of the Departamento de Química y Biología, UDLAP.
• From 1995 to 1997, I was colaborating at the project "Sintaxis, Complejidad y Evolución de Biosecuencias" (Syntax, Complexity and Evolution of Biosequences) of the Departamento de Física y Matemáticas, UDLAP, under the supervision of Dr. Miguel Angel Jiménez-Montaño.
• From 1996 to 1997 I worked at my B.Sc. thesis titled, "Electrosíntesis Directa de Complejos de Coordinación de Fármacos Antiartríticos con metales de transición".
• I am student-member of the Mexican Academy of Analytical Chemistry (Academia Mexicana de Química Analítica).
• I am student-member of the Mexican Chemical Society (Sociedad Química de México).
• I am Distinguished Student Member of the PHI-BETA-DELTA International Honor Society of Scholars, Chapter GAMMA-SIGMA, Universidad de las Américas-Puebla, since Febrero, 1997.
