Tropical Storm Ana:
Maximum Winds-45mph....Minimum Pressure-1000mbs....June 30th-July 4th

  • On June 30th, the first tropical depression of the year formed, and on July 1st, the first tropcial depression was named Tropcial Storm Ana with 45 mph sustained winds on July first. It was undergoing shear which pushed most of the convection of the the SE of the center and thus, did not strengthen. It was moving in a ESE fashion, but then it began to turn to the NE and weaken to 40mph on July 2nd. Then on July 3rd, Ana was downgraded to a depression with 35 mph wids. It was still moving NE and rapidly became extratropical at 11pm on July 3rd.
