Sugar & Cream Cotton Thread

Size F Crochet Hook

One CD coaster

Stitch Notes:

Double Crochet Cluster (dccl) = YO, insert hook in sp indicated, YO and pull

up a loop, YO and draw through 2 loops on hook; YO, insert hook in sp

indicated, YO and pull up a loop, YO and draw through 2 loops on hook, YO,

insert hook in sp indicated, YO and pull up a loop, YO and draw through 2

loops on hook, YO and draw through all 4 loops on hook.

Make Two Of The Following:

Ch 5, join with sl st to form a ring.

RND 1: Ch 3 (counts as 1st dc), 11 dc in ring, join with sl st to 1st dc.

(12 dc)

RND 2: Ch 5, (dc, ch 2 in next dc) around, join with sl st to 3rd ch of beg

ch 5. (12 dc)

RND 3: Ch 1, sc in same sp as joining, (2 sc in next ch 2 sp, sc in next dc)

around ending with 2 sc in last sp, join with sl st to 1st sc, turn. (36 sc)

RND 4: Work beg cluster, (ch 2, skip next st, dccl in next st) around ending

with ch 2; join with sl st to beginning cluster, ch 1, turn. (18 cl, 18 ch 2

sp)

RND 5: Ch1, turn, scin first cluster, *2 sc in the next sp, sc in next cluster * repeat from * around and join.

With wrong sides together, and CD in between, single crochet two pieces

together. Chain 1, *1 sc in dccl stitch, 2 sc in chain 2 space* Do * *

around Slip Stitch in first single crochet to join

TRIM: (Chain 2, sl st in next st, dc in next st) around; join with slip

stitch in first ch of ch2;fasten off.

Variation

When you are joining, sc in the back loops only, then do the trim row, this forms a lip rather then laying flat.
