Poem #2 for 02/01/02:

'Like Cockroaches'

We overrun your prisons

We, like cockroaches, small and brown

Okay, so we are cockroaches...

So sue us.

Seeking out hives of scum and villainy

Or the walls of your houses. You,

Against the might of us what can you do?

We are small but we are mighty,

We'll rule you all some day...

We are small and quick and flighty

We revel in decay

And stench, and other fun things

But all this being said, it brings

Us to the conclusion of this verse.

(For which, I trust, you're none the worse.)

And so, truly can it be guessed:

'Omnis isti turbis tuae nobis est.'
