This day we spent only on off-pistes.. We hired local (?) guide, one New-Zealander.. Anyhow, he was very experienced, he have lived in Chamonix for last 15 years.. Today we had 3 runs, first 2 was from about 2km to Chamonix (about 1km).. In the afternoon we skiied from Aiguille du Midi (3842m), an 16 km run to the town..
First lift on Tuesday on cable car.
Above the clouds..
Coming down to town..
On the way to the forest.
Chamonix, Lyijytys and Kalle.
Quite hard for all of us..
Through this forest was our firts run today..
Kalle and Tate..
Lyijytys right after all the others..
Harder, harder!! This means pain in the legs!
Mountain-peaks.
Last run for this day was into the walley on the right side behind the snowy edge.
On the way to untouched...
You should be here..
Making shortcuts to keep up the speed. Losing speed means swimming with your hands luying on the snowboard. :)
Mountains, walley, snow.. On our last run, 1/3rd behind on 16 kilometers to Chamonix.
Resting..
Pekka on glacier.
About 20 minutes still left to the Chamonix.. Markku on yellow jacket on left sideas dead as man can be.
Train tracks and mountain cabin.. Lyijytys again couldn't stay away from the camera.
Only 5 minutes left.. Notice telescope sticks which were needed on some ex-avalance areas..
