SPOA / Trussed Axles / Pumpkin Covers |

For our lift we decided on a Spring Over Axle. At the same time we got the axles trussed for greater strength and added custom Pumpkin Covers for added protection. This is a picture of the axle housings before we put them back together and painted them. |

Here is a picture of the front axle after we put it back on the Samurai. This is before we hooked up the steering linkages. For the pumpkin caps we used a steel pipe cap that we got from a commercial pipe supply store. We cut it in half and drilled holes in the bottom for easier cleanout. |

Here is a picture of the back axle after we mounted it on the Samurai. With the comination of the longer shackles and the SPOA we gained a total of around 6 1/2 inches of lift over stock. |
