Question: Why do you climb mountains?
For SBMS, we climb mountains for fulfillment and a challenge to ourselves. Experience can fully explain the reason why a mountaineer climbs and continuously climb. In other countries, there are people who love the sport so much that they have devoted their lives to the sport. Another reason is our desire to explore the unknown. Like in scuba diving, going to the moon and other adventures, mountain climbing can help an individual experience the adventure of exploring the unknown.
Question: What do you get out of climbing a mountain?
Basically, a great deal of personal satisfaction. Mountain climbing is a way of life. It develops within the individual and the group certain values such as teamwork, concern and consideration to others. It also enhances the physical fitness of the person. More importantly, we learn to appreciate Gods love through the beauty of the nature and scenic spots.
Question: What do you do when youre at the peak?
The peak is where we set up our tents and start cooking our meals. It is also an opportunity to share experiences. The socials is an activity where the members get to know each others insights thus developing camaraderie in the group. It is also an opportunity to feel how goodlooking we are by taking pictures with a breathtaking background. For this school year, it was an opportunity to plant trees and clean the peak of the mountains.
