Splitter

Description

Splitter is for splitting and combinning files. Consider if you have to transfer a 2.0Mb file between PCs with no network connection, you probably have to transfer it with a floopy. The truth is zip drive is still not that popular and current (common) floopy capacity is only 1.44Mb. If the file does not compress to a size smaller than that, then the logical solution is to split the file.

Feature

Splitter can split a file of arbitrary size to multiple 1.4Mb files, which you can store in HD floppy disks. Even though it uses a custom splitter format, it can combine arbitrary file together to form a big file. So if you have a file splitted up in UNIX using "split", Splitter can help putting them back all together too.
