Don't Miss Our Meeting!!!

Our activities calendar is the focus of the monthly meeting as we get the 2003 underway - allowing eager members and guests to add their names to the roster and confirm a spot at one of our activities with a deposit or full payment. Your best bet is to contact the event host for the all the information you will need to participate(see Upcoming Events page).

With winter at hand, socializing is on the agenda, so round up as many singles as you can beforehand and invite them to the meeting to help us eat, drink and have fun!!!

19th Hole Humor

Two locals step up to the tee to start their round when suddenly one feels a tap on the shoulder. He turns to find a young man holding a note toward him. The older fellow takes the note and reads, "Excuse me, sir, but I am mute. I was hoping you'd share a spot with me as I am new to this course." The man writes back, "No, we'd prefer to keep to ourselves, thank you." As the fellow turned away to practice his tee shot, again comes a tap on the shoulder. And again a note, which reads, "Please sir, I can keep up and won't disturb you. Won't you reconsider?" Impatiently, the note goes back - "No, now excuse me, I have to tee off."

The two locals tee off and scatter their balls into the rough and have to chip back into the fairway - taking a good deal of time to do so. Just as the first man completes his third slice toward the hole, another ball whistles straight down the middle. He spins madly toward the tee where he sees the young man frantically waving four fingers.

Info On San Marino Golf League!

The San Marino Friday Night Golf League will be every Friday night at 5:45 p.m.
anticipated starting date for 2003 is May 16
for 12 weeks of longer (weather permitting). San Marino is a lovely and
interesting 9 hole golf course(soon to be 18 holes) on Halstead Road just south of 12 Mile Road.
They have a superb restaurant so the evening can be a leisurely round of golf
followed by friends and fellowship in a comfortable atmosphere. Details will be made available as soon as possible.
Please remember we will need substitutes, send your name and phone number so we will have subs to rely on.

The Huron Meadows League will be on Tuesday Night at 6:00 p.m.
starting in May
for 12 weeks of longer (weather permitting).
