Changes to the Tech Tree

Notes on changes to the tech tree-

The Governments have all been renamed and slightly modifed as follows;

Despotism changed to Imperialism
...now you too can be a foul Imperialist dog...
Monarchy changed to Autocracy
...sounds less archaic in the modern age. Autocracy can support two free units per city.
Communism changed to Totalitarianism
...because there is no real differance between the State Capitalism laughingly called 'Communism' in Civ2 and Fascism. Can support three free units, and suffers universal low level of corruption.
Fundamentalism changed to The Party
...this being the name of the political party in '1984'. The Party can support six free units per city, and loses the standard 50% science.
Republic changed to Capitalism
...because Democratic capitalist states are NOT free from corruption and bribery!
Democracy changed to Megacorporation
...only absolute rule by a corporation could eliminate all corruption and waste. no-one said government had to be nice...

The main effect of these changes is to make all government types equally authoritarian and unpleasant, this being more in keeping with the theme of the Modpack.

The tech paradigm has been changed from 10 to 15, which slows the rate of scientific progress. In addition, more techs exist which further slows the rate of scientific discovery. However, the terrains produce slightly more trade than was previously the case, which should balance.

Many advances have been moved around on the Tech Tree, gaining different prerequistes and sometimes names. The online Civilopedia will help here, but the most important changes are;

Other more minor changes have been made, in an effort to fit more suitable pre-requisites than those chosen by the games designers.
