Medallion images kindly sent to me by Dale Kornfeld
The silver medallion shows Polish people being forced into a rail car marked SYBIR at its top, by a Soviet soldier with a rifle. It measures 7.06 cm high, 7.06 cm wide, & 5.3 mm thick; it weighs 201.0 grams.
The brass medallion shows Polish soldiers being murdered at Katyn. It measures 7.16 cm high, 7.21 cm wide, & 5.6 mm thick; it weighs 209.2 grams.
Both medallions are dated 1988, just as Gorbachev gave up on Poland as a true member of the Socialist Camp, but before the Wall came down in Germany.
