The garden is the most suitable place for the children to be familiar with plants, to respect them and to establish a rich coexistence with them.
The children can cultivate the land, and they share tasks without interfering with others' work. We deal with the notions of limits in class. Children are taught not to damage the plants.
We ask them to plant an assortment of seeds to find out more about how they grow. Our aim is to encourage them to make predictions about seed germination and growth, to provide bases for further investigations.
They can eat vegetables, they grew themselves, and can knead aromatic bread.
Children realize that plants share and suffer their same needs: thirst, hunger and heat, they can also be sick, and many times they can be in great need of a haircut!
