...Easter Sunday Bike Ride...4/23/2000
...Easter Sunday, We went to morning church services, and then visited with family. We planned to meet at 4:00 pm later that day to take a bike ride for those who could make it. Earlier in the week the weather looked promising, sunny, & warm. Well, that day it was much colder than expected, but it didn't stop us!..We had a great ride, even though we froze. At least my little fingers were tingling by rides end, especially my thumbs. B-R-R-RRRR!...We did at least 100 miles, to Heislers in Lewistown Valley, Rt 443, 895, New Ringold, Andreas, Jim Thorpe, Tamaqua, Lehighton, all the back, windy *FUN* roads! A stop at Mauch Chunk Lake, and back home through Barnesville, Mahanoy City to Ringtown Valley. Great, Fun Ride. |
