A waxing moon (the time from the new moon, through the first quarter, to the full moon) corresponds to the Maiden (also Warrior and Virgin) aspect of the Triple Goddess, and is the proper time for performing rituals in honor of Her. It is also the appropriate lunar pahse during which to perform spells and rituals involving all forms of growth, strengthening, and the increasing of things (such as love, good luck, health, money, and so forth.)
