OBJECTIVE:  Students will be able to hear the rhyming story, sing or recite the names of the animal's offsprings and their habitats.
Anticipatory Set:
Students will discuss the animals they see around their neighborhoods, (squirrels, birds, racoon.
They will be asked what their babies are called and what type homes they live in.
Procedure:

Read the story one time, showing the pictures and emphasizing what the baby animals are called and where they live.
Read the story a second time having the students supply the anticipated rhyming part.
Read it a third time allowing the students to supply the rhyming parts with the names of the animal's offspring and home.
