Philosophy vs. the Cross

The continued pre-occupation of some of the early members with deeper doctrines had become severely displeasing to the Lord, who reminds them that in their unsanctified state such doctrines are useless to them anyway. The central tenet of the Christian faith is vigorously affirmed, namely, that unless a man or woman comes to the foot of the Cross in humility, with a broken heart and a contrite spirit, for the forgiveness of sins, that all else is vain. The doctrine of the Atonement and Christ's free gift to mankind is the central witness of every New Covenant preacher to the world and to the congregations of the saints. We are not to be occupied with principles we cannot understand. The mind of man is impure and must be renewed in Christ [Vika, Oslo, Norway].
1. Verily, verily, thus saith the Lord unto those who have forsaken the Cross for the sake of vain babblings and idle imaginations on account of the false doctrines of men, both wise and foolish:
2. Cease your empty movements and your philosophising, for they are as wind.

The Unsaved Mind is Filthy
3. The heart1 of man is desperately wicked and vain (Jer.17:9), and his mind as a sewer;
4. He seeketh after his own and clutcheth at the wind.
5. He esteemeth the Cross as foolishness because he is dying, knowing not the power of God unto redemption (1 Cor.1: 18).
6. He seeth the form but not the substance;
7. And unto him hath the Cross become a stumbling block, for he understandeth not the ways of Heaven and preferreth the sweetness of the words of the philosophers.

The Cross Before All Else
8. But I say unto the saints of the New Covenant: preach the foolishness of the Cross2 for this shall save souls.
9. Seek not to convert the sons and daughters of men to doctrine, but bring them to the Cross.
10. This is the whole work of the preacher, for out of the Cross floweth grad tidings and the hope of the Firstborn.

Do Not Quarrel Over Hard Doctrine
11. O My beloved ones, how I yearn to feed you with wholeseome meat, and to fill your cups to overflowing, but ye persist in contending over tenets3; and all that is praiseworthy becometh lost in a strife of words.
12. Cease to trouble yourselves over those things which ye cannot understand in your unsanctified state but rather come unto the Cross, for this is the beginning and end of My Work.

The Atonement
13. And the Cross is the Atonement of Christ, which bringeth to pass the immortality4 and eternal life of man, both now and in the eternities.
14 For ye must begin to receive the spirit of the resurrection even now, which is the omega of grace that floweth freely from the throne of God.
15. Allign yourselves to this work and ye shall stay near, and receive of Me always. Amen.
