A Brief History
1994- Project conceived by John K. Davis, an elementary science teacher, at the Southern New Jersey Chamber of Commerce summer Institute for Educators

1995-present- Mr. Davis returns each summer as a guest speaker at the Institute sharing the program with fellow educators

1994-1995- Pilot program run at Elsinboro Elementary School (gr. 5-8) in Salem County NJ with Atlantic Electric Utility Company as partner

1994-1998- Pilot program expanded at Elsinboro

1996-1997- Program awarded a Frederick L. Hipp Foundation for Excellence in Education grant - students awarded $1,100

1998- Elsinboro program partners with the Pennsville Wal-Mart and Salem County School to Career Initiative

1999- Project receives second Hipp grant

1999- FForF trials now running at a few other schools as well as pilot location when business partners are available

1998-present- Mr. Davis invited to NJEA Convention in Atlantic City to present FForF seminar to fellow educators
