Fame, Fortune or Fired is an employment simulation game designed for school children in grades 2-12. A business and a school become partners. In the fall of the year children apply for a job at the business. A realistic, though simulated, hiring process is used-applications, interviews, etc. By spring the business personnel people return to the school and review the school performance of the children they hired in attendance, grades and behavior. Personnel then decides which students would be promoted, retained, or fired based on their school performance for that year. The business must use its own "real world" performance standards, not the schools. Successful students receive awards at the end of the school year. The program should be repeated for several years to allow unsuccessful students to re-apply the following school year.
