A CELL TRAVEL BROCHURE

The project involves conducting research on the cell. This will include research regarding the cell theory, cell structure and function of various cell parts. Your knowledge of the cell will be demonstrated through creation of a brochure. Using small roadside attractions as an inspiration you should design a brochure (similar to a travel brochure) to attract visitors to see the "incredible, amazing! and unbelievable "sights of your plant or animal cell. For example you might want visitors to see the ribosome located just next to the nucleus and watch as the proteins synthesize right before your very eyes. Creativity and humor are encouraged.

1. The CELL BROCHURE must include:

a. the following organelles and structures:

Cell membrane cell wall
Nucleus Chromosomes
Ribosomes Endoplasmic reticulum
Golgi Apparatus Lysosomes
Peroxisomes Glyoxysomes
Vacuoles Mitochondria
Plastids Cilia
Flagella Centrioles
Cytoplasm Cytoskeleton
Chloroplast

b. Science concepts such as accurate organelle descriptions
and/or cell processes.

c. Illustrations and/or graphics which must accurately represent the
organelles and/or cell processes.

d. an animal or plant cell as your major attraction.

2. The brochure must be neat and presentable. The brochure should be accurate, show creativity and be of good design. Remember the purpose of your brochure is to entice visitors to come and see your special attraction as well as to inform them of the scientific processes and functions of the cell.

3. You must include at least 14 organelles for an A

4. You must include at least 10 organelles for a B.
