The sources for this project were different web sites about Sailor Moon and a questionnaire that we sent out to youths that we knew and that we randomly chose over the internet. We visited many different websites about Sailor Moon. Many of them were created by Japanese people so we could easily learn about Sailor Moon's history, character descriptions and episodes …etc. Through the websites, we found a lot of information as well as the pictures we used for our web page.
After we learned a lot about Sailor Moon, from the websites, we then decided to see how it effects youth through a survey. We created the following questionnaire:

4. What do you like about the show Sailor Moon?
5. How do you feel when you watch Sailor Moon?
6. What do you think about the roles of women in Sailor Moon? (don't limit yourself to this point but for example are the women portrayed as strong and independent or submissive)
7. What do you think about the roles of men in Sailor Moon?
8. How do men and women relate in Sailor Moon?
9. If you are a girl, does Sailor Moon create a standard for your own beauty? If yes is that attainable? If you are a guy, does Sailor Moon create a standard of beauty for women? Is it attainable?
10. How would you rate your own looks in terms of the characters in Sailor Moon?
11. What personality traits are exemplified in Sailor Moon?
12. Why do the Characters in Sailor Moon look American when they were created in Japan? Does this say anything about Japanese culture? (This is not meant as a criticism of the show but I would like to explore this in my paper as it is something that I do not understand)
13. How much violence is there in Sailor Moon? Could there be less or is it just right?
14. Are there any aspects of Sailor Moon that could be of interest to a paper on youth culture that I have not asked you about?
15. How do you understand the fact that blood types are linked to personality traits in SM?
Finally, the last step was to write an analysis. We wrote this analysis by gathering the data from the survey, the information from the Sailor Moon web sites, and also some articles which are related to the youth culture theories and social theories.
