Steve Aitchison

      Blue

Twenty shades of blue,
Two shades of red
One more shade of blue
and I'd be dead.
Take it for granted,
That when i speak
I talk at your face
And not with you
we talk so much better
Without making a sound.

Without each other

I spoke to death again last night
Just to see if she's doing alright
We spoke of the present, future, and past
And how the world wasn't going to last
But, then she shook me with something she said:
'The world needs the sperm of a man
She also needs the womb of a girl
 But a man without love
 and a girl without thoughts
need each other before the world rots'

Creativity

Come at once, witty one
To a place inside your head.
Where imagination gently stirs
Until creative storms rise from bed.

Come at once, poets pen
And swim in a sea of snow
Drown white paper with blackest ink
Until musing words begin to flow.

Come at once, come at once
Your mind on paper is waiting
